"Thank you" card

Thursday is the last day my kids are going to Shell's house and I'm very sad about it. Shell is the lady from daycare that watches them every single day while I'm at work (her real name is Michelle). She's been nothing but wonderful for the past 2 years and was able to provide my kids home away from home. As a token of our appreciation, we decided to give her and her family a gift card and a "Thank you" card (which is why I'm writing this post lol )
I first bought a card that I completely ruined by misspelling her name and getting tomato sauce on it..so it ended up in the trash. I decided to make my own one since I have the Silhouette machine (the most amazing cutting machine)! So here it is my homemade "Thank you" card, it's simple but cute (at least I think so) :)

And now I leave you with this cute lil face :)

Awesome Saturday!!!

So I posted an ad for nanny last Monday and I had over 20 interviews scheduled (most of them on Saturday). Half the people I interviewed weren't even sure if they like kids...ummm why did they even come to interview for A NANNY?!??! The other half were OK but nothing that you can say "Ok I feel comfortable leaving my 2 precious kids with this person"... Until we met Tammy. She came over Friday night and she was AMAZING. The experience, the personality, the patience... all you can ask for in one person. She was a teacher, had her own daycare, has experience with her own kids. We offered her a job right then and she said she'd get back to us the next morning... it was the longest night lol We thought she'd say no cause it was too good to be true.

This morning as I was interviewing the first out of my 11 candidates she called me and said she's accepted our offer!!! I couldn't have been happier :) So I canceled all the other candidates (some got mad at me cause I didn't give them a chance). My day couldn't have started better... And then something else happened.

My most amazing husband in the whole world took me on a shopping spree (part 1) to JCPenny, for new work clothes. I had a blast and the clothes I got are super cute. Time for part 2 tomorrow :))))

I hope everyone's weekend is as great as mine!

The secret prize has arrived

Few weeks ago I won a giveaway from Mao Mao and it was a surprise gift that I was supposed to get in the mail. Well today I got it and it's ADORABLE!! Thank you! Check it out for yourself :)

Also, if you've been wondering why I haven't been blogging much lately -- I'm in a process of finding a nanny for my two precious kids, so I go to work all day talking to candidates on the phone, then interview them at night...it's exhausting! I hope we we find a good one though :))

Sofija's scrapbook - COMPLETE

Here's Sofija's book - FINISHED :) It only took me a year...

Scrapbook pages complete (Family Album)

A little background on me and scrapbooking... I used to hate it! I couldn't understand how people can sit for hours and scrapbook, until I got a scrapbook for my baby girl and decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT lol I even bought a Silhouette machine right away (I don't know how people used to do it without them) :P So I started working on my daughter's book last year (which I finally finished during our Christmas time off from work) and I even started one for my son cause I felt bad he wouldn't have one until I decided to instead of making him a separate one, to just make one family book and put all the stuff there. Sofija still gets her own one since I was almost done with her before starting on Sam's.

Anyway, here's what I have for our family scrapbook so far:

The book cover:

First page:

Sam's 3rd birthday. This one is one of the busiest ones, but I had so many pictures I wanted to put. It was the best birthday with the best clown :)

Our 2 new family members, Tony and Lucy (Sam calls her Wucy)

My soccer star!

My baby girl's 1st birthday:

Christmas 2010. Pictures are from Christmas Eve because on Christmas we only took videos :)

New Year 2011

This is earlier in 2010, but I wanted to put it in the book. Me and Sam went to a fundraiser "Breakfast with the birds" at Tracy Aviary. It was an awesome mom/son day and we even ended up in the newspaper (on the front page)! Who would've thought we'd end up in newspaper, we were like an hour late lol

Incredible Pizza Company - The funnest place out there. We've been several times there now but I picked few good pictures. Me and Sam even won first place racing on the Go Karts. Can't wait to go again

That's all for now. I'll post Sofija's book in another post :)
